Lobster Roaches

The Nauphoeta Cinerea Roaches, or Lobster Roaches, are among the best feeder roaches on the market for smaller reptiles since they reach an adult size of approximately 1 1/2”. Although Lobster Roaches are able to climb smooth surfaces, requiring securely covered enclosures, if kept properly they have no odor. They are very prolific breeders and grow quickly. Nauphoeta Cinerea Roaches are nutritious for a variety of reptiles because they are soft-bodied, high in protein, low in fat, and have a lot of meat. While they are not the feeder of choice for some keepers due to their “ugly” appearance and ability to climb, they breed and grow very quickly and their small size makes them appropriate for smaller reptiles including most species of geckos.

Lobsters

Nauphoeta Cinerea Roaches are very easy to care for and even easier to breed. For food, just give them fresh fruits, vegetables, and roach food regularly. You will also need to make sure their enclosure is clean, and provide them with water crystal gel. Lobster Roaches need to be heated and have an appropriate amount of humidity.
